  1. What a great idea! I am just starting my first LEED project (v 2.2) and am scared to death. I look forward to checking back.

  2. Hey guys!
I really want to take the LEED GA exam. I have already registered with the GBCI, but I still need to send a letter describing a sustainable Interior Design project I had done, and then being accepted. My question is: I recently was laid-off and I really don’t have a lot of money to do this, but I also know myself and I will need some type of instructor/study group and materials to pass this exam. Do you know of any teachers, practice exams, and reading material I can get really cheap? I can’t afford a $500 prep course! Ps. I live in Denver! — Holly

  3. Hi, Holly…

Check out the courses at http://www.greenbuild365.org/

Many of them are very reasonable priced and many can be taken online.

As per the USGBC: “All courses approved by USGBC and listed in the course catalog will fulfill the requirement for the LEED Green Associate because USGBC is an approved ERB for the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Also, the courses located on the Greenbuild365 website address green building so they meet the criteria. When you have completed any of the courses, you receive a certificate of completion. The certificate is what must be submitted to GBCI for approval at the time of applying for the LEED Green Associate exam.”

Hope this gives you a more affordable way to get your class time in.

  4. I used the sample test questions from GreenExamPrep when I studied for my LEED Green Associate Exam:

I also recently purchased the Green Exam Prep LEED Green Associate Study Guide. I’m in the process of reviewing that material and will let you know what I think after I’ve read it.

    Good luck!
